Al Wilson

Former Denver Broncos linebacker Al Wilson was drafted by the team out of Tennessee in the first round of the 1999 NFL draft (31st overall).

An anchor of the Broncos' defense during his prime, Wilson excelled in pass coverage and against the run.

When he retired, Wilson had officially recorded 580 tackles, 21.5 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 5 interceptions and scored a touchdown.

A two-time All Pro selection, Wilson was voted to five Pro Bowls and helped Denver reach the AFC Championship game in 2005.

Although neck and back injuries cut short his tenure with the Broncos and forced him to retire during the 2008 season, Wilson was a leader of Denver's defense and should be in the team's Ring of Fame.
